Mini Individual Apple Crisps

Apples are healthy and delicious. I buy them all the time Mini Individual Apple Crisps& then I neglect to eat them. If I had a ton of apples I would juice them (homemade apple juice is phenomenal compared to store bought!) but I had 3 sad apples waiting to be tossed–so I found a recipe I could tweak for mini individual apple crisps. What a fantastic idea!! It is a little like dessert, a little like breakfast and makes me nostalgic for Mom’s apple crisp. It is healthy comfort food that you can not overeat. You can jazz it up with some vanilla ice cream or whipped cream if the mood strikes you.

Ingredients:Mini Individual Apple Crisps

  • 1 medium apple, chopped
  • 2 Tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 Tbsp flour
  • 3 Tbsp quick oats
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 Tbsp butter, cubed


  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees (F)
  2. Mix together the chopped apples and maple syrup
  3. Place in a small (oven safe) greased baking dish; set aside
  4. In a separate bowl combine the flour, quick oats, and cinnamon–then cut in the butter until the mixture resembles course crumbles
  5. Sprinkle the crumble mixture over the apples
  6. Bake uncovered for 40 minutes
  7. Let cool slightly before eating
